Paul Dwyer

Paul lives in Bristol with his wife, Rebecca, and two young children, Cora and Alden. He is
passionate about the power of education, having benefitted from the foundation that a
strong Catholic education provided him growing up in Lancashire, leading to his being the
first member of his family to go on to university.

Paul is the Head at Redmaids’ High School, having taken up post in 2020 following a move
from London (although back home to Bristol for his wife!). He has worked in a variety of
secondary schools across both the maintained and independent sectors throughout his
career. Paul cares deeply about the role that strong professional development and support

can play for teachers, having being involved in the founding of the Chartered College ofTeaching and then having the privilege of leading the Council as President.

I became a Foundation Director because I want to contribute to the future of Catholic education. This role gives me the chance to utilise my experience and background as a proven educational leader for good - helping to change and shape the landscape and provision within our schools.

My hope is that every child in this Trust receives an outstanding education and that our Trust becomes a beacon of excellence nationally recognised best practice.
