Dr Chisa Onyejekwe
I joined the Bristol Law School in March 2022 from Canterbury Christ Church University where I was the Course Director for the LLB Courses. I taught on Public Law, Employment Law, Torts, International Human Rights and Tax Law for both the undergraduate and postgraduate modules. My main research areas are in Sustainable economic development in Africa, Tax and Human Rights in Global South. I received an LLB from the University of Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2006. I have an LLM in International Commercial Law and a PhD in Law (International Tax Law) from the Law School at Robert Gordon University Aberdeen.
As a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, I have previously practised as a solicitor to financial institutions in Lagos Nigeria.
I have expertise and published areas such as African union and regional integration, economic development in Africa, Human Rights, and taxation in Africa, Black, Asian, Minorities and gender inequalities.
