Safeguarding as a Core Value:

Our commitment to safeguarding manifests in:

  • A child-centered approach: Every decision, policy, and action prioritises the best interests of our children.

  • Robust safeguarding policies and procedures: We adhere to the latest statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023 (KCSIE), and ensure consistent implementation across all our academies.

  • Comprehensive staff training: All staff receive regular training on safeguarding best practices, including online safety and identifying signs of abuse.

  • Open and transparent communication: We foster a culture where children and adults feel empowered to speak up and concerns are addressed promptly.

  • Strong partnerships: We collaborate with families, external agencies, and the wider community to build a robust support network for our children.

Governors' Responsibilities:

As governors, you play a vital role in ensuring our safeguarding framework is effective and continuously improving. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding KCSIE: Familiarise yourself with the latest version of KCSIE to stay informed about current statutory requirements and best practices.

  • Monitoring and overseeing: Scrutinise safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring they are compliant and implemented effectively within our academies.

  • Holding Trust and school leaders accountable: Request and review regular reports on safeguarding incidents, training programs, and compliance with national guidelines.

  • Maintaining awareness: Stay updated on emerging safeguarding issues and participate in relevant training opportunities.
