Kevin and his wife Sarah are both Bristolians, and returned to live here after studying elsewhere in the UK.  They have two children, born and educated in Bristol schools, who are now following their own careers, one of them with the Trust.

Professionally, Kevin is a Chartered Accountant and trained with EY.  He is now retired having spent the majority of his career in Finance and Corporate Services Director roles for public sector bodies, most recently UK Research & Innovation.  He also has more than 10 years’ experience as a non-executive director.

“I was very fortunate throughout my school years that I was supported, coached and developed by teachers and staff who believed in me and challenged me to do well; sometimes to do better than I thought I could do. The first in my family to go to University, I went on to gain a PhD and to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.

As a Foundation Director I aim to contribute to leading the Trust so that, through its team of caring and professional staff, it can provide every child in its schools with rich opportunities, and the environment to develop to their full potential.”

Dr Woodrow is the Chair of the FAR Committee.
